Lip colours for Pale Skin

  • Creamy Coral
  • Pomegranate
  • Coral - infused pink
  • Light orchid pink
  • Violet
  • Peach
  • Warm, Rich pink
  • Bright Coral

6 Make up Tips for Pale Skin

1. Soft coloured lips
Sandy pinks, Rosy pinks and soft apricots.

2. Cool shades for eyes
Pale, natural colours look great on pale skin. Champagne, grays, soft pinks and even brown and grey colours will match well and make your eyes pop out!

5.  Eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner is best for any eye make up.

6. Colours to avoid
Bright blues, pinks, browns around the eyes can drain us of the colour we have naturally in our cheeks. For blush avoid bronzer and yellow based.

Halloween Treats

Halloween is soon and I wanted treats to make.
I found some yummy repices and would like to share them with you.

1. Easy Toffee Apples
Ingredients:
  • 6 Apples
  • 6 Wooden sticks
  • 4 (100g) Packets of original toffee
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
Serves 6
Ready in 25 minutes

Roll each apple quickly in toffee until well coated. Place on prepared sheet to set. For best results, refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving.

2. Chocolate Fudge
Ingredients:

Serves 10
Ready in 3 hours 16 minutes

You can if you want add approximately 220g of chopped pecans with the other ingredients in the mixing bowl before you pour over the chocolate. But personally I prefer it without.

3. Lollies
Ingredients:

  • 60g icing sugar for dusting
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 250ml water
  • 160ml golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint oil, or other flavoured oil
  • 1 teaspoon any colour food colouring

Serves 16
Ready in 45 minutes

Generously coat a baking tray with icing sugar, and set aside. To make lollies, grease the lolly moulds and then dust with icing sugar.
If making lollies, press a stick into each of the moulds and let cool thoroughly before removing. If making sweets, when the mixture is cool enough for the outer edge to hold its shape, cut into bite size pieces with scissors. Let cool completely, then store in an airtight container.

4. Marshmallows
Ingredients:

  • 125g icing sugar for dusting
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 300ml water, divided
  • 4 tablespoons unflavoured powdered gelatine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Serves 18
Ready in 8 hours 50 minutes

Dream of the World

Some people don't even remember their dreams, as for me I remember a lot of my dreams. I've always wondered if our dreams have something to do with real life or if they mean anything at all. Depending on what you eat at night, before bed it reflects on our dreams, is that even true? If we think of something or have something on our mind before we go to bed, do we dream about something to do with it? What does it mean if you dream about something you shouldn't, and feel guilty about it in the morning, like you have done something wrong? Why do we have dreams in the first place? Do Animals have dreams too? Is it true we dream in black and white? I'm sure my dreams are in colour. Sometimes my dreams seem so real that when I do wake up I feel like I'm still dreaming, if that makes sense at all. I have gotten confused with a dream and reality before. Thought something happened when it didn't. Funny. I do like dreaming about something good and then I wake up and wish I had finished my dream. Always my dreams can be better than reality. Wonder why we have nightmares? I've heard if you eat cheese before bed that can give you nightmares, don't think thats true though. I've had some horrible nightmares (well there not meant to be great are they?). I have had two dreams where I have died in them. I heard that dying in your dreams is dangerous for real life? I had one where I fell off a cliff and when I woke up I was floating on my bed but I don't know if I was still dreaming or not (I am no witch). The other one was where a (now don't laugh) Dinosaur ate me. I've woken up straight away when I died in my dreams, strange and scary. On to Sexual dreams, now I have had my fair share but I wonder why we have them.

Anyways I wish I knew why we dream :)

Something to Make you Laugh

I found this on someones Facebook page and found it funny. So thought I would share it with you.

In Love With Brooch Bouquets

Today been randomly looking on someones facebook page and come across a Brooch Bouquet. So Beautiful and used for a Wedding. I have fell in love with Brooch Bouquets over the last hour. I am a very creative person so I looked on the internet on how to make these brooch bouquets to see if they were easy to make. They look simple enough so I'm going to have a try of them when I get money together to get the things to make them with.

I am very excited about this hobby and hoping to do this real soon. I will be posting a photo when I have made any. (Hopefully made at least one before Christmas).

These are some of the Brooch Bouquets I have seen on my friend Google images :)

Store each dough portion in separate bags in the fridge.

Discard after a week or two.

How To Grow Your Hair

I've been doing some research online to see if I could find out about Hair Growth. As I want to grow my hair out quite long, and wanted to find tips and tricks to help it grow.

An average person's hair grows half an inch a month.

B Vitamins help hair growth as well as nails.

Your Diet depends on how your hair grows, so eat a lot of  Protein foods...

Protein foods:

  • Meats - Lean cuts of Beef, Ham, Lamb, Pork, Veal.
  • Meats - Lean ground meats - Beef, Pork, Lamb.
  • Poultry - Chicken, Duck, Goose, Turkey, Ground Chicken and Turkey.
  • Eggs - Chicken eggs, Duck eggs.
  • Beans and Peas - Bean burgers, Black beans, Black-eyed peas, Chickpeas, Kidney beans, Lentils, Lima beans, Soy beans, Split peas, White beans.
  • Nuts and Seeds - Almonds, Cashews, Hazelnuts, Mixed nuts, Peanuts, Peanut butter, Pecans, Pistachios, Pumpkin seeds, Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts.
  • Seafood - Finfish such as - Catfish, Cod, Flounder, Haddock, Mackerel, Salmon, Swordfish, Trout, Tuna.
  • Seafood - Shellfish such as - Clams, Crab, Lobster, Mussels, Oysters, Scallops, Shrimp.
  • Seafood - Canned Fish such as - Anchovies, Clams, Tuna, Sardines.

Stress can cause your hair not to grow.

Brushing your hair when wet with a bristle brush can cause damage to your hair.

Wash your hair every other day or every other other day if your hair can take it not being greasy.
Dry Shampoo inbetween washes so your hair won't look greasy and make it look fresh.

Also try changing shampoos every time you wash your hair so you won't be using the same shampoo all the time.

Deep condition your hair with a hair mask at least once a week. Also use leave in conditioners every time you wash your hair. Don't put conditioners on your scalp (makes hair greasy)

Don't wash your hair with hot water, its not good for your hair.

Don't use heat styling tools on your hair, it will damage your hair and also make your hair dry out. If you are going to use hair straighteners / hair curlers then use them once a week.

Air drying your hair is best as your not getting any heat to your hair and letting it dry naturally.
If you are using a hair dryer use it on the cool setting. Also if using hair dryer to make your hair more volume, blow dry hair upside down.

Also if you do use any heat styling tools use protect heat spray on your hair first.

Cut the ends of your hair every 8 weeks.

When washing your hair use the palm of your hand to rub the shampoo and conditioner in.

There are Hair growth tablets as well that you can use. Find them in pharmacy stores.

Also for split ends you can use split rememdies / sprays.

Don't back comb your hair as can cause damage and dead ends.

Brush your hair regularly.

Don't dye your hair a lot.

Vintage Nail Designs

I am doing my nails today as I have got time to do them. I used to do my nails all the time and have lovely designs on them. I use false nails as my nails are really bendy.

I'm doing a vintage design. Pink and white with a bow.
I'll pop a photo up when they are done.

I found some lovely designs on google images that I also like and I will be trying out over the past few months.

My New Hair

Got my Hair Cut yesterday. I now have a full fringe.
I have never had a full fringe before, well I did when I was really young. So its a big shock for me and A Real Change :)
I wasn't so sure of it at first but no I've styled it myself, it looks nice.

I don't really know how to style a full fringe. I just straighten it at the moment. I'm worried about going out into the windy weather, and my fringe flying up in the air and getting a mess and looking stupid. I guess hairspray should keep it down but might make it look greasy. I can't win!

Any Ideas or Tips on keeping full fringes neat and tidy. Please let me know :)

Conkers Keep Spiders Away

I heard by someone from work that Conkers keep spiders away from the house. Put Conkers on window stills and by doors. Also people on the Internet say put them underneath furniture and in corners of the room. No more spiders in your house. The Spiders don't like conkers. The conkers have to be fresh to work.

Just try it to see if it works :)
I hate spiders so I will be trying it and I'll let you know if it works or not.

Hair Tip Of The Day

Kids Ideas

 Handmade Bath Crayons

Ingredients For Soap Bath Crayons
1 cup grated soap, soap flakes, or soap powder  (Finely grated Ivory soap bars are fine)
3 tablespoons to 1/4 cup warm water
Liquid Food colouring or washable paints

How To Make The Bath Crayons
1. Mix the grated soap, flakes or powder with the warm water.
2. Add a couple drops of food colouring or washable paint to the mixture.
Note: Paint or food colouring may temporarily discolour your bath walls. Test out the homemade colour crayons before Child's use.
3. . Continue mixing the soap crayon solution until it begins to thicken and hold its shape. Add more water or soap if needed. It will be very difficult to stir.
Once the mixture is stiff and begins to harden, it's time to mold the bath crayons.
4. Mold the soap crayons.  Allow the crayons to dry at least a couple days before popping from molds and using in the tub.

Pebble Footprints

Love this Idea for the garden. Really Cute.

Time Out Chair

Supernanny (The TV Program) suggests every parent should have a time out chair. A way to tell your kids off and make them understand whats wrong from right. I do like the Time Out Chair. My Son is 9 Months old but not sure if we will be getting this for when his older. Bit Harsh if you ask me.
 Cloud Mobile

Cute.
Looks easy to make.
Colourful Ribbons attached.

Bow & Ribbon Holder

For little girls this is so pretty.

A - Z Letters

Good Idea to have in a Child's bedroom.

Baby Hand in Mum or Dad Hand

The Zoo Box

I love this Idea of Animal Teddy bears all in this wooden cage box. See through as well to see all the favourite teddies.
The name of the cage box 'The Zoo' is very clever as kids might have lots of animal teddy bears.

Love it!

This wall is so beautiful for a little girls bedroom.
Love the design of the branch and the colours and also the name at the top.

This was an entertainment centre for the TV and storage. It has been turned into a baby changing unit.

I have to say a very clever Idea. Doesn't look much space on the changing table part though. I love all the storage parts though. I always like loads of storage as I love to be organized.

Nicely painted as well.
These are invitations for baby shower.
Blue for a boy. But you would do pink for a girl.
Nice Idea.
I don't think you can see what it says on the box drawers. Its a Keep safe box with drawers. Example of drawers: My First Outfit, My First Tooth, My First Dummy ect...

Kids Calendar

Lovely Idea. Made with hands and fingers :)

January - Snow flake
February - Heart
March - Four Leaf Cover
April - Hand Print (not sure what of)
May - Butterfly
June - Rainbow
July - Fireworks ( I think )
August - Sun
September - Not sure
October - Pumpkin
November - Turkey
December - Lights and a Christmas tree

I think this calendar was made by someone who lives in America because we don't have thanksgiving in England, if though be nice too :)

Family Tree

Beautiful Idea and will have to do this when I have more kids.

 Colourful Food

Ice Cube Trays for Bight & Colourful Foods.
Guess its to see what your kid likes and don't like.

Baby Pillows

Name
Date of Birth
Weight
Born
Parents

Love this :)
 Guess what Gender Cupcakes

For Baby shower these cakes would be fun for a game of finding out the gender. Don't know how the game would be played, I haven't though that far ahead and I'm too tired to even think about it. I'm sure you will figure it out.

Owl Hat

So Cute (so is the baby)
Need this Hat badly. Let me know where I could find one for a good price :)

The Craziest Beds

I have been on GOOGLE images to search for the strangest and craziest beds. I love looking for crazy objects and love what the world comes up with :) HERE WE GO...

Bed in the middle of a swimming pool
Strange? Have a swim when you need to wake up and feeling tired. Water does wake you up.
The only problem is TV and lamps in the room with water = not a good combo.
Small space where the bed is as well.
Probably be cold in there too and smell of water.
Nope don't like this bed or the room.

 Sandwich bed
Feeling hungry? wake up in the middle of the night and take a bite of your bed. Ha not a real sandwich guys!
Doesn't look attractive or comfortable.
A very ugly bed if you ask me.
So thats a BIG NO to the sandwich bed...NEXT!!

 Circle Big Bed
I'm loving this bed!
Maybe different colour covers and pillows.
Love how its circle and a good size.
TV is in a good place.
Wondering if the bed turns to watch TV in a better angle though.
Loving this bed. I would have this bed. Five Stars *****
Space bed
I don't like the look of this bed, looks like it has not much space in there by the looks of the ladies legs. If her legs were put straight they would go over the side. So not comfortable. I like the lights in there though, thats pretty cool. I would feel closterfobic in there too. So a No for me.
 The way you Lie bed
HAHA Never seen a bed like it. Ugly bed ever!
You would have to be the same size, shape and got to lie like that all night. Otherwise you would fall off it.
Wouldn't be cozy. No for me.
Don't know if this even exists, funny if it did.
 Rollercoaster bed
Another HAHA bed. Don't know if exists.
Looks uncomfortable. Small and thin mattress.
Your have a very bumpy sleep...

No for me

 Princess bed
I love the style for a little girl. Very pretty.
But... looks small as its being a circle.
Maybe a lot bigger then it would be a like.

Bed in a box? Box in a bed?
Looks like a sand pit my partner said.
Don't like the sides up high.
Don't like the colour, nor the style.
So No for me.

Bed in a Nest
Cute.
Love how its got loads of pillows that look cozy in there.
The nest looks like paper though.
Looks quite big as by the looks of the women in the picture.
I don't like it as a bed though.
So No for me.

So thats all the craziest beds I could find on GOOGLE images for now.
Thanks for Reading.
